Sanya People's Hospital, the only comprehensive Grade A Class III hospital under the Sanya Municipal Government, was established in 1948 on Jiefang Road in downtown Sanya. In 2022, it was listed in the "guidance category" of the National Regional Medical Center construction project. Since May 28, 2021, the hospital has been affiliated with West China Hospital of Sichuan University. With a planned capacity of 1,000 beds, it integrates medical services, teaching, research, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation.
